Once Queensland’s best kept secret, Magnetic Island Country Club now has visitors flocking from around the world to be challenged by its 9-hole boutique golf course.
The carefully cultivated green has won numerous golfing awards and has welcomed many professional golfers from Australia and overseas. In fact, it was where legendary champion, Greg Norman, played his first ever game of golf. Even today, he ranks the 5th hole in his Top 18 List of Most Difficult Holes in Queensland.
Surrounded by spectacular, mountainous scenery teeming with native wildlife, Magnetic Island Country Club’s golf course is a nature lover’s paradise and is ideal for professionals and amateurs alike. The course is open 7 days a week from 8.00 a.m. to 6.00 p.m.
Warm and welcoming, the clubhouse at Magnetic Island Country Club is the perfect place to relax and unwind. Enjoy a refreshing drink after a round of golf, tuck into a hearty meal from the bistro’s blackboard menu or try your luck at one of the venue’s poker machines. The friendly atmosphere will soon have you as laid back as the locals!
The Bistro restaurant is open every Friday evening from 6.00 p.m. to 8.00pm.
Note that the club offers a range of hire clubs, pull buggies and motor carts should our visitors require them.
